Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.

Experience

• 10+ years of experience in HSE management, preferably in the construction industry.

• In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices applicable to construction activities

Responsibilities & Context

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement HSE strategic plans, objectives, and initiatives aligned with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements, and provide leadership and direction to achieve HSE excellence.
  • Policy Development: Develop, review, and update HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards, and promote a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, codes, and standards, and ensure that the company’s operations and practices comply with legal requirements and industry best practices.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and hazard analyses of construction activities, processes, and facilities to identify potential HSE hazards, assess risks, and implement appropriate control measures to mitigate risks and prevent incidents.
  • Incident Investigation: Lead and oversee incident investigation processes, including near misses, accidents, injuries, and environmental incidents, ensuring thorough root cause analysis, corrective actions, and lessons learned are identified and implemented to prevent recurrence.
  • Training and Education: Develop and deliver HSE training programs, workshops, and educational materials to increase awareness, knowledge, and competency of employees and contractors in HSE practices, procedures, and emergency response protocols.
