Responsibilities & Context

  • Plan and schedule dyeing operations based on production requirements, fabric types, and delivery deadlines.

  • Coordinate with the production and planning departments to ensure proper scheduling of dyeing batches.

  • Ensure that each dyeing batch is prepared as per customer requirements, including color, shade, and finish.

  • Oversee the dyeing process, ensuring that procedures are followed according to the standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Monitor machine settings, dye formulations, and time/temperature controls to ensure consistency in dyeing.

  • Ensure proper color matching and adherence to shade standards by using laboratory tests and visual checks.

  • Supervise the dosing and mixing of dyes, chemicals, and auxiliaries to prevent errors.

  • Ensure that dyed fabrics meet the required quality standards, including shade consistency, color fastness, and finish.

  • Perform quality checks at various stages of the dyeing process to identify any issues early on.

  • Resolve issues related to dyeing defects such as streaks, uneven dyeing, color variations, or patchiness.

  • Work closely with the quality control team to ensure that any defects are addressed and corrective actions are implemented.

  • Optimize the utilization of dyeing machines, labor, dyes, and chemicals to ensure efficient use of resources.

  • Manage the inventory of dyes, chemicals, and auxiliaries to avoid shortages or overstocking.

  • Coordinate with the procurement team for timely ordering of raw materials.
