Responsibilities & Context

This position requires an experienced and dynamic individual for the role of Manager IT to oversee and manage all aspects of information technology function within our apparel manufacturing organization. The individual must be able to lead a team of IT personnel and correspond directly with the Group Head of IT & ERP and the Management to ensure the smooth operation of all IT systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in computer hardware, software, IT network & infrastructure management and technical service management.

Key Accountabilities:

Overall Enterprise Architecture:

  • Develop and maintain the overall enterprise architecture framework to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Define and implement standards, guidelines, and best practices for IT architecture and systems integration.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on the organization’s IT landscape.

Infrastructure Development:

  • Collaborate with the Group Head of IT & ERP to develop the organization’s IT infrastructure, including the installation and maintenance of standard computer equipment.
  • Ensure the effective distribution of IT equipment across different departments and locations.

Inventory Management:

  • Oversee the inventory of computer hardware, laptops, printers, UPS, scanners, multimedia projectors, and various types of software and operating systems.
  • Develop and implement efficient inventory tracking systems to ensure timely replenishment and prevent stock outs.

System Monitoring and Management:

  • Monitor and manage all existing systems, network appliances, hardware, and other IT infrastructure components to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Implement proactive measures to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.

Attendance System and IT Support:

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of attendance systems, hardware and networking infrastructure, and IT support services.
  • Provide technical support to end-users on a company-wide scale, including resolving hardware and software issues and ensuring data integrity.

Disaster Recovery Planning:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive disaster recovery plans to mitigate the impact of unforeseen disasters, unplanned power outages, and downtime.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure swift data recovery and minimal disruption to business operations.

Vendor Management:

  • Communicate with service providers, vendors, and organizations to negotiate contracts, procure necessary IT equipment and services, and address any issues or concerns.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and make recommendations for improvements or changes as needed.

Budgeting and Equipment Needs:

  • Determine IT budget requirements based on organizational goals and technological needs.
  • Identify and prioritize equipment needs, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and alignment with strategic objectives.

Documentation:

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for software, hardware, and network configurations, procedures, and policies.
  • Ensure documentation is regularly updated and accessible to relevant stakeholders for reference and training purposes.

Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify IT requirements and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to IT staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
