JOB PURPOSE

To lead and develop knowledge management strategy and oversee knowledge management initiatives for the microfinance programme. Establish and oversee strategic external partnerships and publications plans for the research and insights unit. Ability to manage a team and work with multiple large-scale external stakeholders in global networks and donor parties especially on grant management, i.e. Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, IPA, World Bank, etc.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To develop knowledge strategy/framework and lead knowledge management initiatives and knowledge sharing policy/protocol.
  • To lead pilot knowledge tool development and ideate knowledge pieces in collaboration with other cross-functional teams and units within Microfinance.
  • To establish strategic partnerships with research partners and external stakeholders.
  • To drive engagements and partnership liaison for running research projects with external research partners, stakeholders and donor partners.
  • To coordinate publications – engage with publication partners, develop publication plans, and publish reports for research projects initiated by R&I unit.
  • To engage as editorial lead in publications and strategise content for external global forums.
  • To promote BRAC’s involvement in the global dialogue by strategizing knowledge and content for international events and forums enhancing exposure of Microfinance activities in the broader Financial Inclusion community.

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
