Responsibilities & Context
The Manager of the Legal Department will oversee all legal functions within Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC. to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations while providing strategic legal guidance to support the company’s operations and growth. This role requires a proactive leader with strong legal expertise and excellent communication skills.
Job Responsibilities:
Legal Oversight & Contract Management:
- Manage all legal matters affecting the organization, including contracts, corporate governance, compliance, intellectual property, and regulatory issues.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring they align with company policies and legal requirements.
Compliance Monitoring & Risk Management:
- Develop and implement compliance programs to ensure adherence to local, national, and international laws and regulations.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with business operations, providing strategic advice to management and other departments.
Dispute Resolution & Policy Development:
- Manage and oversee litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution processes, coordinating with external counsel as necessary.
- Develop and implement legal policies and procedures to ensure effective governance and risk management.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor the legal team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment while encouraging professional development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, HR, and operations, to provide legal insights that support business objectives.
