About the role:

We are looking for a Manager for our MEAL department. In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating the coordination and technical support for Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) activities, ensuring alignment with BRAC’s MEAL strategy. Additionally, this role involves the development and implementation of MEAL systems, overseeing data collection and reporting, and contributing to programme support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement tools and methodologies for monitoring.

  • Align assigned programmes with the MEAL framework by integrating them with the BRAC MEAL strategy and programme objectives.

  • Ensure data quality and establish accountability systems for all projects, incorporating information sharing, participation, and feedback mechanisms for programme participants.

  • Provide technical assistance to programmes, ensuring timely and accurate data collection, processing, reporting, and knowledge management.

  • Assist in the preparation and reporting of the annual operating plan for the MEAL department.

  • Supervise and coordinate capacity development efforts for the MEAL Officers and follow-up support.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
