Responsibilities & Context

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to oversee the maintenance of garments sewing machines and related mechanical equipment for a Japanese Multinational Garments situated at Ishwardi EPZ, Pabna.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing preventive maintenance, optimizing machinery performance, and leading a dedicated maintenance team in a dynamic production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the upkeep of all garments sewing machines and mechanical machinery to maintain optimum performance.
• Team Supervision: Monitor and guide the maintenance team, ensuring timely and efficient completion of maintenance tasks.
• Preventive Maintenance: Implement maintenance policies and procedures; develop and manage a comprehensive planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedule.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize equipment operation following standard procedures to enhance productivity and product quality.
• Delegation & Problem-Solving: Strategically delegate tasks within the team; perform root cause analyses and resolve technical issues promptly.
• Data Management: Oversee the storage and management of equipment data, maintaining high levels of accuracy and record integrity.
• Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments of maintenance processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Reporting: Prepare detailed maintenance reports for management and recommend process improvements.
• Team Training: Train and mentor team members, ensuring they are well-versed in maintenance procedures and safety standards.
