Responsibilities & Context

• Sourcing, managing, and curating a company’s products and promotional material.
• Overseeing the buying process, forecasting inventory demands and trends, and negotiating with suppliers.
• Managing inventory, analyzing sales data, pricing products accordingly, and creating product displays that accommodate trends, seasonality, and cultural differences.
• Controlling the development and application of marketing plans.
• Designing appealing retail layouts that highlight the company’s brand and look.
• Negotiating inventory costs for various stores.
• Creating annual and quarterly budgets, then presenting them to the appropriate parties.
• Planning, procurement, distribution, and selling of products.
• Working closely with suppliers, buyers, marketing teams, and sales staff to make sure all products are available to customers at the right time, location, and quantity.
• Creating and implementing a merchandising strategy that maximizes sales and profits.
