  • Excellent communication skills in both Bengali and English.

JOB PURPOSE

This position will be responsible for delivering overall strategic guidance, providing thought leadership, and establishing coordination across various units within the Skills Development Programme (SDP). This will include collaborating with the MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning), Implementation, Technology, and Employment units to support the Career Hub Initiative.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understanding the vision of both virtual and physical career hubs, and ensuring that design changes will be needed to ensure quality services are being offered to clients who come to the career hub.
  • Ensuring that implementation is done on time, which includes coordination in planning and maintaining the progress of yearly work plans, and ensuring budget burn rates are maintained,.
  • Maintaining close collaboration with SDP’s focal and technology unit to ensure smooth operations of career hub online services.
  • Keeping documentation of initiatives that are working well and working with SDP’s business development unit to ensure continuous sources of funding is achieved for hubs.
  • Providing guidance on quality skills assessment, career counseling and other services within the hub, and developing innovative strategies to enhance services.
  • Coordinating with MEAL, Implementation, Technology, and Employment units to ensure seamless integration and execution and represent career hubs to various stakeholders as and when needed.
  • Coordinating capacity building sessions of staff; organizing training sessions, workshops, and professional development activities, and developing capacity-building programs as per yearly plan.
  • Promoting social inclusion by understanding challenges of female participation, persons with disabilities, and other minority groups. Jointly work with the employment unit to increase access to formal employment for these participants.
  • Coordinating with the MEAL unit to identify research areas so create improved services by all hubs.
  • Ensuring timely reporting of project progress, challenges, and achievements to senior management, ensuring transparency and accountability in all aspects of project management and execution.

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensuring the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise in safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
  • Practicing, promoting and endorsing the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
  • Following the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so.
