Requirements

Education

• College/University Honours / Master’s degree in Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering or equivalent.

Experience

• At least 5 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
  Audit Firms /Tax Consultant

Additional Requirements

• 5 years experience in quality assurance within the tobacco, food, pharmaceutical or similar industry of which at least 2 years in a managerial role.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Fluent English, Local language is an asset.

Responsibilities & Context

We are a leading multinational company in the business of manufacturing, trading, marketing and selling of tobacco related products.

We are now looking for a dynamic individual for the role of Manager, Quality, Bangladesh to join our Bangladesh -based operations. Purpose

• Lead factory Quality department assuring full Compliance of manufactured products with the established requirement of the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Support innovation in the organization by ensuring quality systems are followed and continually improved.
• Deliver competent support to all relevant departments and/or other production center in order to design, achieve and develop highest quality standards in each process, while building and sharing knowledge across PMI.
• Guarantee compliance of the organization to relevant quality standards and ensure a constant state of inspection readiness with respect to all relevant regulations and guidelines.

The Candidate will have the following accountabilities:

SUSTAINABILITY:

• Ensure compliance to all PMI and legal standards, policies and guidelines related to Environment, Health, Safety, Sustainability to prevent personnel, asset or societal loss.
• Act and promote an interdependent and transparent safety culture fostering the utilization of preventive/predictive approach in line with Open+/IOS.

QUALITY:

STRATEGY AND PROJECT

• Ensure the availability of a communication strategy and the deployment of Quality programs in order to provide stakeholders with necessary skills and knowledge to take ownership for quality aspects within their areas of responsibility thus ensuring consistent product Quality.
• Drive and foster initiation and implementation of new projects (global, regional and local) by ensuring communication, alignment and on time deliverables aiming to achieving continuous simplification, automation and digitalization of our quality control strategy as well as the evolution of our Quality Management System.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

• Ensure a non-conformity management process (including consumer complaints and timely investigations) is established and duly implemented.
• Ensure quality improvement opportunities are identified, prioritized and action plans determined in order to guide the organization through continuous improvement.
• Own the PR-SS process (product related special situation process) and ensure timely and accurate investigations and reporting.

AUDIT

• Establish and maintain appropriate quality work streams to ensure readiness of internal/external audits including risk-free evidence package for regulatory inspection whenever applicable.
• Ensure the audit program is established on a risk based approach, monitored and maintained annually including timely, accurate, and reliable provision of results to ensure full compliance with PMI specifications, requirements and defined objectives.

DELIVERY:

QUALITY & COMPLIANCE

• Ensure quality control activities are properly set for incoming materials, ingredients, semi-finished products, raw tobacco, tobacco related products, and finished goods, in full compliance with regulations, consumer expectations, PMI requirements and product specifications.
• Define performance indicators in order to monitor product and process quality and performances for identification of improvement initiatives.
• Drive the quality organization and guarantee compliance to relevant quality standards. Establish quality Management review process by sharing results and improvement initiatives with Operations functions.
• Ensure requirements of outsourced activities are defined through the approval of a formal contract (SLA) and that contracts are periodically reviewed.

COST:

• Define and lead the Quality function budget in line with strategy and functional zero loss journey, ensuring tracking and compliance to committed OB numbers.
• Ensure focus on delivering productivity targets by eliminating quality losses.
• Coach the team to encourage a mindset of continuous improvement.

RRP VALIDATION/CHANGE MANAGEMENT

• Own the site validation master plan and ensure the manufacturing process is appropriately validated, documented and maintained by applying risk-based approaches and formal change management process.

Compensation & Other Benefits

Estimated salary range for the position: 51,526.86 USD per annum
