Responsibilities & Context
This position is responsible for acting as the focal point to coordinate and support programme communications and branding issues of Humanitarian Crisis Management Programme (HCMP) and will ensure developing and executing strategic communication plans to support the programmatic initiatives of the organisation. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Programme Heads, Sector Leads and field offices to amplify programme achievements, engage stakeholders, and ensure consistent, impactful messaging across all platforms
Strategic Communications Planning:
- Develop and implement programme communication strategies that align with HCMP goals and enhance stakeholder engagement and support strategic updates and donor communications
- Collaborate with sectors to identify communication needs, opportunities, and challenges for each initiative
- Track and analysis key performance metrics to measure the impact of communications efforts and inform future strategies
- Oversee programme communications from inception to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
- Ensure the prominent visibility of the Humanitarian Crisis Management Programme (HCMP) of BRAC on both national and global platforms.
Content Development and Management:
- Create, edit and manage high-quality contents for various communication channels of sectors and camps including websites, newsletters, reports etc
- Lead the creation of case studies, success stories and impact reports to showcase programme’s outcomes and milestones
- Identify and develop impactful stories from the field aligning with organisational goals and branding guidelines
- Capture the best practices by collaborating with creative teams, foster lesson learnings for high-quality output
Event Management:
- Plan and execute events, workshops, seminars and webinars in collaborations with the sectors by monitor the logistics, budgets management and stakeholder coordination for successful events
- Prepare and finalize event-related contents and oversee promotions
Relationship Management and Advocacy:
- Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including donors, partners, and community leaders
- Coordinate with the donor relations team to tailor communication materials that support fundraising and partnership initiatives
- Work collaboratively with Knowledge Management and Documentation focal of different programme to ensure qualitative measures
- Organise and participate in events, webinars and conferences to promote programme achievements and raise awareness
- Represent the organisation by participating in management and national meetings and forums and play advocacy role in various important issues
- Report Writing:
Prepare detailed reports for stakeholders by collaborating with sectors/units for accuracy - Ensure periodic report to Management and Donor and contribute to BRAC’s learning
Safeguarding:
- Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
