Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Human Resource Management, Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resource Management, Master of Law (LLM)

Experience

Responsibilities & Context

  • Supervise the implementation of the internal social compliance monitoring system to ensure proper alignment with the principles, code and benchmarks of the Fair labor Association (FLA) and other frameworks such as WRAP, SMETA, SLCP, Better Work and CTPAT.
  • Work with the company’s clients and private brands (if needed) to ensure Gildan will fulfill their requirements related to their social compliance standards. It includes coordination of external audits and timely follow-up on remediation.
  • Carry out benchmarking of practices and trends related to labor issues and determine revision or adoption of practices at Gildan facilities and supply chain.
  • Preparation of facilities in new social compliance audits related to issues that include human resources, finance, and occupational health and safety, as well as support to the security department with issues related to CTPAT and physical security in case needed.
  • Continuous support is provided for annual training and refreshers regarding human rights topics and the code of conduct.
  • Monitoring and tracking of human capital initiatives such as empowerment programs and digital grievance mechanisms.
