Responsibilities & Context
- Assist the Head of Department in overseeing all activities and outcomes of the assigned account with absolute integrity and sincerity.
- Perform daily maintenance and operational activities for diesel/gas generators, 33/11 KV substations, steam boilers/thermo oil boilers (Gas, Diesel & LPG fuel), air compressors, pumps, and MV/LT line switchgear (operation) as per company standards.
- Handle machine maintenance, repair, installation, testing, commissioning, operation, and troubleshooting activities for Caterpillar generators, boilers, chillers, AC compressors (Comp Air), submersible water pumps, deep tube wells, forklifts, knitting machines, and substations (33/11 KV).
- Possess the ability to manage multiple tasks and troubleshoot modern operational machines.
- Observe, study, and prepare reports on performance issues, breakdowns, quality faults, or inefficiencies in specific machines, equipment, or processes.
- Identify root causes of issues and propose alternative solutions to ensure effective troubleshooting.
- Design, develop, test, or supervise the erection, commissioning, and installation of electrical machines, components, or systems for commercial and industrial use.
- Provide proper planning and instructions for scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance of knitting and other machines to ensure maximum efficiency as per the machine manual.
- Ensure that annual, monthly, and daily maintenance activities are planned in advance and executed efficiently.
- Prepare and submit detailed technical evaluation reports and proposals for work improvements.
- Stay updated with ACCORD/Alliance recommendations and implement them in the factory.
- Assist in departmental budget preparation, staff training, and other administrative responsibilities.
- Take initiatives to reduce costs through development strategies and ensure safety measures are adopted by all subordinates.
- Troubleshoot electrical and electronic issues in machinery and conduct necessary maintenance to minimize machine breakdowns.
- Provide emergency support as and when required by the company.
- Ensure compliance with all social compliance audit-related tasks.
