BioTech Services is a company dealing with marketing, distribution and technical service support of medical diagnostic equipment, reagents and consumables to different diagnostics labs and hospitals in Bangladesh and well known for providing excellent service support to it’s valued clients. BioTech Services is the exclusive distributor of world renowned brands – Sysmex Corporation-Japan, Roche Diagnostics-Switzerland, Arkray Corporation-Japan, Helena Biosciences Europe-UK, RR Mechatronics-The Netherlands and The Bindingsite – UK.

Job Context: (Inventory Management and distribution operations) He will oversee the efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of a wide variety of medical diagnostics products and support our continuous business growth by showcasing his management and problem-solving skill, experience, expertise, dedication, integrity, accountability & transparency.

This position is responsible for planning, implementing, managing and running all the inventories and distribution activities of the company. The role of this position requires solid knowledge and hands-on experience in store and inventory. The incumbent will be act as to carry out inventories matters and overall transformation. We are looking for an experienced, energetic, dynamic and aspiring candidate who would join our team and meaningfully contribute to the efforts to reach the organization’s goal.

Responsibilities:

Warehouse Management:

  • Oversee the receipt of imported goods (medical diagnostics instruments, reagents and consumables etc.) in accordance with LC packing lists, promptly addressing any discrepancies or damages with C&F agents, and prepare report of the findings to the Section Head/ concerned department.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels through effective monitoring and management, avoiding both shortages and overstock situations.

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Collaborate closely with supply chain, marketing & sales, technical and other concerned department for smooth inventory and distribution operation.
  • Coordinate to forecast demand accurately and adjust inventory levels accordingly.

Inventory Control, Compliance and Records Keeping:

  • Conduct regular audits to verify stock levels and ensure the accuracy of inventory records, providing comprehensive reports to management.
  • Perform physical stock counts on a daily/monthly/quarterly and yearly basis, reconciling discrepancies with ERP software.
  • Coordinate to maintain all necessary regulatory compliance and product quality control requirements.

Logistics Management:

  • Ensure the full capacity of incoming vehicles from various ports through meticulous physical inspections before unloading, promptly updating delivery statuses to the Section Head.
  • Safeguard against mismatches during product delivery and ensure efficient courier bookings for outside dealers as per invoice specifications.
  • Ensure smooth distribution operation of the products to the customer end.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to streamline transportation and distribution processes, enhancing efficiency and reducing costs.
  • Continuously monitor logistics performance, implementing improvements to enhance delivery times and cost-effectiveness.

Cost Management:

  • Monitor and manage inventory-related costs to minimize waste and maximize profitability while ensuring all received parts meet quality standards.

Compliance and Auditing:

  • Liaise with external and internal auditors to ensure timely completion of statutory and other audits, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Miscellaneous Tasks:

  • Undertake any other tasks assigned by management, contributing to achieve overall organizational objectives.
