Additional Requirements
- Age At least 30 years
- 10–12 years of experience in commercial & logistics, preferably in export-import business. (Prior working experience with forwarder company will get preference)
- Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, banking procedures, and customs rules.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle pressure, multitask, and meet tight deadlines.
Responsibilities & Context
- Handle all commercial documentation related to export and import, including LC (Letter of Credit), TT, UD, EXP, and back-to-back LC management.
- Coordinate with buyers, banks, freight forwarders, and customs agents to ensure timely shipment and release of goods.
- Monitor shipment schedules, pre-shipment and post-shipment processes, and ensure compliance with all export procedures.
- Liaise with commercial banks for LC opening, amendment, negotiation, and realization.
- Monitor foreign currency transactions, bank guarantees, and related financial instruments.
- Ensure accurate costing, invoicing, and payment follow-up to maintain healthy cash flow.
- Ensure all export/import documentation adheres to regulatory and buyer compliance standards.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of all commercial transactions for audit and reporting purposes.
- Coordinate with International shipping organization for smooth export/import process.
- Keep updated on changes in trade laws, customs regulations, and international trade policies.
- Work closely with merchandising, production, and logistics teams to align shipment schedules and buyer requirements.
- Maintain effective communication with buyers, buying houses, and suppliers for all commercial matters.
- Resolve commercial disputes or discrepancies efficiently.
- Evaluate and analyze order costing, freight, and financial terms to ensure profitability.
- Provide management with regular reports on financial and operational performance related to commercial functions.
- Any other task assigned by the management
