Requirements

Education

  • MBA in Supply Chain Management from any reputed university
  • B.Sc. in Electrical/Mechanical/Textile Engineering with MBA from a reputed university
  • Preferred Certification: Applicants having completed PGDSCM/CSCM will get preference.

Experience

  • 8 to 12 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
    Garments, Textile

Additional Requirements

  • Age at least 35 years
  • Candidate must have experience for minimum 2-3 years in the managerial position in Garments/Textiles.
  • Knowledge on LC & import procedure.
  • Should have experience in both Local & International procurement·
  • Have to have strong knowledge upon Garment materials sourcing.
  • Having knowledge about product HS code.
  • Sound knowledge on export and Import.
  • Independently can work on all kind of L/C relate Documents, Banking functions.

Responsibilities & Context

Job responsibilities of this role include:·

  • Develop and execute a robust procurement strategy aligned with organizational objectives·
  • Responsible for company’s local & foreign procurement related activities·
  • Communicating and negotiating with vendors to land more profitable deals·
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Supply Chain department.
  • Find cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes·
  • Resolve issues that arise (e.g. delays in delivery, product quality)·
  • Follow-up and procurement of electrical & electronics items, spare parts & mechanical items for knitting dyeing mills and Garments Manufacturing unit.
  • Through knowledge on procurement of accessories, machinery, IT equipment, spare parts etc.
  • Developing continuous relationship with a pool of good vendors and building a long-term sustainable business rapport with them.
  • Negotiating with the vendors and finalizing the terms and conditions for performance guarantee, supervise services, shipment, payments, etc.
  • Maintaining proper monitoring & controlling of all indents, Purchase orders, supplier performance, and circulating the same on regular basis.·
  • Forecast financial requirements for procurement department.
  • Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
  • To ensure on time delivery of materials to the factory.
  • Review comparative statement (CS) and assist Management to select the vendors by ensuring the best purchase deal in terms of quality & quantity of products and service level.
  • Stay informed about geopolitical changes, currency fluctuations, and supply chain disruptions.
  • Uphold ethical standards in all interactions with vendors and stakeholders.
  • Ensure supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards·
  • Conduct vendor evaluation and develop new vendors as per company policy.
  • To Produce different types of report as and when required.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the management from time to time.
