Requirements

Education

  • An ideal candidate should be BSC in Automobile Engineering along with Diploma and automobile engineering.
  • Candidate only having Diploma in automobile engineering, Diploma in power may consider if have vast experience in transport maintenance.

Experience

  • 8 to 10 years

  • Transport, logistics, Freight Forwarding/ C&F, Procurement etc.

  • Good knowledge of supplier or third party management software
  • Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
  • Experience in collecting and analyzing data

  • Work with inter-dependent departments for smooth functional processes.
  • Must have computer literacy with good communication skill.

Responsibilities & Context

S. A GROUP OF INDUSTRIES is looking for an experienced person for the position of Manager- Transport.

Job Location : Chattogram (the applicant should be able to commit to stay longer period of time in Chattogram)

  • Responsible for Transport Management and Maintenance of the group.
  • Ensure the day-to-day tasks such as monitoring and managing daily transportation activities, staff vehicle route planning, scheduling, resource allocation and management, and driver supervision.
  • Ensure that the vehicles’ TAX Token, Fitness, road permit, etc. are updated and maintain records accordingly, and make necessary arrangements for new vehicle registration.
  • Maintain liaison and coordination with BRTA, Local Police, Transport Vendors, Government Agencies, and other parties in relation to smooth operations of Transport departments.
  • Keep all existing licenses / Certificates up to date and also obtain new licenses as and when required. Attend the accident or other sites and deal with the situation.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of transport maintenance.
  • Ensure the scheduled checks on the vehicle and spare parts. Initiate periodic inspection plans for the fleet and generate technical reports for individual vehicles.
  • Monitor and Manage Vehicle Tracking Systems (VTS) and Inventory Management Systems. Analysis VDRA (Vehicle daily running activity), KMPL, fuel usage, trip analysis, and associate costs. Ensure all vehicles are running in good condition.
  • Do purchases of vehicle maintenance related all parts/equipment.
  • Process files for purchase purpose and adjust bill after compilation of work. Analysis staff vehicles Driver trip Sheet and OT calculation.
  • Ensure fuel refilling and strongly monitor overall fuel purchase and refueling activities.
