Manager- VAT

This position is responsible for factory VAT & customs management to provide oversight and manage all factory VAT & Customs related activities, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and value creation within the organization. This role requires a proactive manager who can drive VAT agenda, oversee factory fiscal compliance with regulatory requirements, and support sustainable business growth by optimizing implementation of fiscal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure full compliance with all local VAT & Customs regulations along with all withholding at factory stage, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving VAT & Customs laws
• Responsible for timely issuance of VAT invoice, maintaining VAT registers & records, and other mandatory commercial documents. Prepare and submission of monthly VAT return on time and error free
• Ensure fulfilling of NBR conditions requirement for the factory production and inventory management
• Collaborate closely with external stakeholders; local VAT offices
• Regular reconciliation of factory inventory position, and ensure physical inventory as per records and regulatory requirement
• Proactively identify and manage VAT & Customs risks; develop solutions and internal controls to safeguard reputational risks.
• Manage interactions with local VAT authorities, full proof support for overseeing audits, and VAT & Customs related investigations to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant responses
• Lead the development and implementation of the factory’s VAT compliance to minimize liabilities, optimize VAT efficiencies, proactively identify VAT incentive opportunities. Coordinate with factory production and inventory management.
• Oversee the preparation of accurate VAT payment provisions and annexures both external and internal reports. Ensure that tax records and documentation comply with local requirements and company’s global standards.
