Responsibilities & Context
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the supermarket, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of all departments.Manage and motivate a team of employees, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock replenishment to meet customer demand.
- Implement strategies to optimize sales and profitability, including promotional campaigns, product placement, and pricing strategies.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, addressing any concerns or feedback in a timely and professional manner.
- Analyze sales data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of products and negotiate favorable terms.
- Prepare and manage budgets, including expenses, payroll, and operational costs.
- Stay updated on industry trends and market competition, and adapt strategies accordingly to maintain a competitive edge.
- Experience in the grocery or food retail industry.Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software is a plus.
- Previous experience in budget management and financial analysis is a plus.
