Requirements

Education

  • Master of Science (MSc)
  • MSc in Zoology, Botany or Biological Science from any reputed university.
  • MBA from IBA (DU) will be preferred.

Experience

  • At least 8 years

  • Age 35 to 45 years
  • Practical experience of implementing marketing concept of Bangladesh Pesticide Industry would be an added advantage.
  • Conduct group discussion country-wide with farmers, retailers or distributors aimed to educate and attract them on company’s product portfolio.
  • Prepare training modules and execute systematically to enhance the skill of company officials in the area of sales & marketing.
  • Brand Planning/ Development, Business Development and Market Research.
  • The candidate having exposure in Crop Protection Products/Pesticides will have preference.
  • Should be self motivated, energetic & capable to work under pressure. Command competent verbal and written English & Bengali communication skills. Adept at using MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and other relevant software.
  • Should be prepared to travel across the country as and when required.
  • Should not have any chronic disease such as serious Diabetes, hypertension which affects work performance and travelling.
  • Have an attitude that inspires, achieves and aspires.

Responsibilities & Context

  • To maximize market share, revenue target achievement and profitability in the company’s selected markets.
  • To be responsible for Sales & Marketing and promoting the products of the company and also In-Charge of the Sales and Marketing / Pilot Project & take all possible actions to enhance sales of products in different parts of the country.
  • To formulate marketing strategies and actions plan in line with the company’s direction to expand its business in the designated division/region/area/territory.
  • To lead, guide and well motivated Sales and Marketing Team in their daily execution of Marketing/sales tasks & activities towards achieving the team’s monthly, quarterly and yearly KPM targets.
  • To get to know and participate in Marketing/sales events which will increase brand awareness, contact expansion and idea generation.
  • To conduct product and marketing training of new Marketing Force joining the team.
  • To analyze consumer trend, to collect information on the growing needs, to identify consumer and product category, as the future source of growth.
  • To assist in budgeting and developing business and make an effective communication plan.
  • Prepare a monthly product wise & crop wise revenue target of crop care products based on cropping area and cropping intensity.
  • Develop Territory & Regional mapping based on high value cropping and intensity to get optimum output from a Territory/ Region.
  • Prepare crop wise complete solution package of crop care products with the help of Entomologist and pathologist.
  • Develop brand building instruments including cropping programs & crop-wise promotional campaign.
  • Provide training of the sales team on changes in the cropping pattern, market penetration strategies and market development plans.
  • Improving access to practical, farmer friendly information and resources- using factsheets, online knowledge hubs, social media and mobile advisory services.
  • Presenting seminars, meetings and other designated functions that require corporate presence in the area of farm production operations and management.
  • Coordinate the organization’s marketing efforts by designing & developing promotional materials such as leaflet, poster, brochures or catalogs and other communication materials.
  • Providing timely feedback to the management that affect crop protection operations based on future changes in the industry.
  • To conduct market research to identify new business development opportunities.
  • Any other assignment not detailed herein & felt conducive by Management as and when necessary.
