Responsibilities & Context
1. Operational Management
Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods
Ensure accurate and timely handling of Super Shop merchandise to meet store and customer demand
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments and delivery schedules
2. Inventory Control
Monitor stock levels and ensure proper inventory rotation (FIFO/FEFO where applicable)
Conduct regular stock counts and audits to minimize discrepancies
Investigate and resolve inventory shortages, damages, or losses
3. Staff Supervision
Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff, loaders, and storekeepers
Assign daily tasks and monitor employee performance and productivity
Ensure staff follow company policies, safety rules, and standard operating procedures
4. Health, Safety & Compliance
Enforce workplace health and safety standards
Ensure proper use of equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and safety gear
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment
5. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate records for goods received, issued, and returned
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse reports
Coordinate with accounts, procurement, and store operations teams
6. Quality Control
Ensure goods are stored properly to prevent damage or spoilage
Check quality and quantity of received goods against invoices and purchase orders
Handle damaged or expired products according to company policy
7. Coordination & Communication
Liaise with store managers, suppliers, transporters, and logistics teams
Resolve delivery issues and operational bottlenecks efficiently
Support promotional or seasonal stock planning
8. Process Improvement
Identify areas to improve warehouse efficiency and reduce costs
Implement better storage layouts and workflow processes
Assist management in achieving operational KPIs
