Familiarity with industry-standard maintenance practices and software tools (e.g., CMMS).

Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in the garment manufacturing industry or similar production environments.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment used in garment manufacturing.
Experience with troubleshooting and repairing sewing machines, fabric cutting machines, pressing equipment, and other production machinery.
Proficient in using mechanical diagnostic tools and equipment.
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
Strong communication skills to coordinate with various teams and departments.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities & Context

Maintenance & Repair:

Oversee the routine and preventive maintenance of all mechanical systems, machines, and equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical breakdowns quickly to minimize production downtime.
Ensure proper calibration and functionality of machines to meet production targets and quality standards.

Technical Support:

Provide technical guidance and support to machine operators and maintenance teams.
Work closely with the production team to identify mechanical issues impacting production processes.
Assist in the installation, modification, and upgrading of machinery and equipment.

Inventory Management:

Maintain an inventory of mechanical spare parts and tools required for maintenance tasks.
Coordinate with the procurement department for timely replenishment of spare parts.

Safety Compliance:

Ensure that all mechanical equipment and machinery comply with safety standards and regulations.
Monitor safe work practices and provide safety training to staff as needed.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and machine performance.
Prepare reports on machine breakdowns, maintenance schedules, and technical issues to inform upper management.

Continuous Improvement:

Suggest and implement improvements in machinery, processes, and overall equipment efficiency (OEE).
Participate in root cause analysis for recurring mechanical issues and propose solutions to prevent future breakdowns.
