Requirements
Education
MBBS.
Must have valid BMDC registration.
PGT training is preferable.
Additional Requirements
Must have Experience in working Blood Bank.
Must have good computer skill.
Hospital software literacy is preferred.
Responsibilities & Context
Oversee the daily operations of the blood bank.
Be responsible for handling all functions of blood bank individually.
Supervise the screening and selection of blood donors.
Manage the collection, testing, processing and storage of blood.
Liaise with physicians for all matters related to blood banking/blood transfusion service
Taking history and do physical examination of the donors and identify donors having risk factors.
Provide medical supervision and care to donors and recipients.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all blood bank activities.
Ensure proper inventory levels and manage the distribution of blood products.
Ensure compliance with medical and regulatory standards.
Implement quality control processes and perform audits. Ensuring that all healthcare regulations and safety standards are met.
It is mandatory to wear a doctor’s apron when on duty time.
Develop and maintain effective communication with physicians, Consultants, patients and colleagues.
Complying with management decision, policy and uphold the company brand.
Must perform duties as per guideline from CMO, Medical Director & Head of Medical Services.
