Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS)
  • Specialization in Public Health or a related field is desirable.

Experience

Additional Requirements

  • At least 2 years in a relevant field or similar position.

  • Proficiency in English language is essential.

  • Local language skills are desirable. (Rohingya/ Chittagonian)

  • Proficient in computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and internet usage.

  • Proven experience in team management

Responsibilities & Context

  • Coordinate, assess, and supervise medical activities for patient management, following PHC protocols and standards, and accurately compile and analyze patient health data.

  • Assist in defining annual project plans and monitor program goals, promptly reporting any issues to the PHC Manager.

  • Ensure administrative tasks related to patient follow-up (e.g., filling individual cards, registers, discharges, transfers) are completed per Tdh guidelines.

  • Support pharmacy team to manage efficiently, oversee the appropriate use of medications and medical devices, and prepare necessary medical orders while reporting non-medical needs to the PHC Manager.

  • Oversee the daily work schedule of the team, manage absences, track leaves, and provide doctor coverage if needed.

  • Collaborate with HR on staff recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and professional development to enhance team skills and knowledge.

  • Gather and submit data for monthly reports as required.

  • Supervise medical doctors and assistants on medical issues and report any changes in patient flow that require action to the Health Activity Coordinator and PHC Manager.

  • Report challenges, staff misbehavior, major patient dissatisfaction, and adverse events to the appropriate coordinators within 24 hours.

  • Support and organize training sessions, identify specific training needs, and work with the PHC Manager to develop training plans.

  • Encourage medical discussions, including mortality reviews, to build team capacity and improve case management.

  • Assign tasks among MDs and MAs as necessary based on staff availability and patient demand.

  • Collaborate with the Health National Coordinator and PHC Manager on the monthly roster, ensuring shifts are evenly distributed.

  • Support other staff of health and IPC activities in coordination with the PHC Manager and take responsibility for psychiatric care of both patients and medical staff.
