Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in in any discipline (B.Sc. in Textile Engineering or Apparel Merchandising will be given preference).

Experience

    • 2 to 3 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Buying House, Garments, Sweater Industry, Textile, Washing Factory

Additional Requirements

  • Age 25 to 30 years
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years of solid experience in sweater merchandising. (Factory-based experience is highly preferred).
  • Applicants must have experience in 100% export-oriented sweater manufacturing factories or buying houses.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of sweater yarn counts, gauges, knitting structures, and costing. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel is a must).
  • Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong technical knowledge of sweater manufacturing processes (Knitting, Linking, Washing, and Finishing).
  • Deep understanding of different yarn types (Acrylic, Cotton, Cashmere blends, etc.) and gauges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Job Context

We MNR Sweaters Ltd. are a leading 100% export-oriented garments manufacturer specializing in high-quality sweater production. We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated, and experienced Merchandiser (Sweater) to join our merchandising team. The ideal candidate will handle order execution from development to final shipment, ensuring strict adherence to quality and delivery timelines.

Job Responsibilities

  • Product Development & Costing: Handle independent product development, sample analysis, and accurate yarn/accessory costing for sweater orders.
  • Buyer Communication: Maintain direct, daily communication with international buyers/brands regarding approvals, order status, and technical specifications.
  • Sourcing: Source yarn, trims, and accessories locally and internationally while ensuring competitive pricing and quality compliance.
  • Production Tracking: Collaborate closely with the factory planning, knitting, linking, and washing teams to monitor the Time and Action (T&A) plan.
  • Problem Solving: Proactively identify production bottlenecks (e.g., yarn delays, shade matching issues) and implement corrective actions to ensure on-time shipment.
  • Production Coordination: Work closely with the factory production, planning, and QA teams to ensure production aligns with approved samples and shipping schedules
