Summary

Education

Graduates from BUTEX, AUST, BUFT or Shanto-Mariam University, preferably major in Apparel Merchandising, AMT, Fashion Designing or Textile Engineering.

Experience

Additional Requirements

Basic Requirements:

Must have extensive experience in handling US customer’s product.
Preferred to have multi product type and On-line retailing experience.
Preferred to have extensive experience in product development, sourcing of materials, costing, production tracking and execution of orders independently·
Preferred to have knowledgeable of garments construction and costing, specifically Woven and Knit fabric properties, fabric printing and surface applications (e.g., heat transfer, embroideries, screen-printing)·
Preferred to have experience of handling all kinds of Knit, Woven, Sweater, Jacket etc.
Profound knowledge of woven and knit garment engineering and production processes is required.
Have sound knowledge of fabrics and an excellent network of fabric, print, embroidery & trims suppliers.
Must be capable to handle buyers independently.

Independently execute woven and knit product development.
Understand latest fashion trends, source new fabric & develop customer collect.
Ensure smooth communications with customers and suppliers on day-to-day merchandising activities and approvals.
Continuously update the fabrics, trims, washes and stitch library including technical data and price information.
Communicate with buyers on day-to-day merchandising activities and approvals.
Source fabrics and accessories local and overseas.
Prepare costing sheets with all the necessary breakdowns.
Arrange lab dip, trims, bulk fabric color, and quality test for customer approval·
