Experience Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of practical working experience in the Garments industry.
Must have prior experience working in a Buying House.
Must have hands-on experience specifically in Woven Garments (Shirts, Pants, Suits, Blazers, etc.).
Additional Requirements (Skills & Competencies):
Strong proficiency in Costing and Product Development.
Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal) to handle foreign buyers.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel (must be able to handle data, pivot tables, and reports) and PowerPoint.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong analytical skills and a proactive team player.
Additional Requirements (Skills & Competencies) – [Woven Product Focused]:
Must have in-depth knowledge of woven fabrics such as Poplin, Oxford, Twill, Linen, Denim, Canvas, and Polyester/Viscose blends—including their GSM, composition, shrinkage behavior, and colorfastness properties.
Strong understanding of woven garment construction, specifically tailored products like suits, blazers, formal trousers, and shirts—including collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets, waistbands, linings, and interlinings.
Expertise in woven garment washing and finishing processes (e.g., Garment Wash, Enzyme Wash, Stone Wash, Silicon/Softener finish) and end-stage finishing like ironing, folding, and poly-packaging.
Sound technical knowledge of woven trims and accessories, such as branded buttons, metal zippers, fusible interlinings, fusing materials, sewing threads, and care labels suitable for high-end European/USA buyers.
Must be capable of handling the complete sampling process for woven items, including Proto, Fit, PP (Pre-Production), TOP (Top of Production), and Size Set samples with precise measurement and fit specifications.
Solid understanding of quality parameters specific to woven garments, such as seam slippage, fabric spirality, skewing, pilling resistance, and shrinkage control—strictly adhering to AATCC/ASTM international testing standards.
Ability to work under extreme pressure, manage multiple orders simultaneously, and meet tight shipment deadlines with a proactive, problem-solving attitude.

Job Responsibilities:
Manage the complete merchandising cycle from order confirmation to final shipment.
Handle factory sourcing, order placement, and cost calculations (Costing).
Follow up on fabrics, trims, and accessories to ensure production deadlines are met.
Monitor production progress and ensure strict quality control standards.
Develop and monitor Time & Action (T&A) plans to guarantee on-time delivery.
Maintain strong relationships with both buyers and suppliers.
