Job-related knowledge :

- Knowledge of the situation of Rohingya women and girls in the camps in Cox’s Bazar is an asset.
- Knowledge and understanding of Mukti Cox’s Bazar and UNFPA humanitarian/development programming and operations, including both human-rights-based and survivor-centered approaches.

Responsibilities & Context
This position is primarily responsible for the implementation of the Rohingya Refugee Prevention and Response programme, the purpose of the national MHPSS is to promote support for the Mukti Cox’s Bazar GBV team in increasing their capacity to deliver services in compliance with IASC Guidelines for Mental Health and Psychosocial Support in Emergency Settings.
The position will work closely with the GBV team in the camp and host communities, including assisting in monitoring Mukti Cox’s Bazar GBV Programme service delivery in Cox’s Bazar to ensure quality service provision in both GBV Case Management and Psychosocial Support Services.
Under its global mandate to address GBV in humanitarian settings, Mukti Cox’s Bazar is committed to ensuring that the needs of GBV survivors are met through adequate health responses, psychosocial support, and case management in line with international guidelines. Responders must have the capacity to provide quality response services, which in the Cox’s Bazar refugee and host populations must include competent and appropriate MHPSS care and support.
This position reports to Program Manager, working closely with the Case Management Specialist and Project coordinators and under the general oversight of the Program Manager in Cox’s Bazar.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
- Assist with the assessment of current PSS interventions and staff knowledge and skills in Women Friendly Spaces in the camps and host communities.
- Support and contribute to developing training, mentoring and supervision plans that equip GBV caseworkers and case managers to deliver specialized interventions that integrate psychosocial support tools.
- Develop monitoring & evaluation mechanisms on case management and psycho-social support activities in coordination.
- Support to prepare quality reports to project management as per the requirement of the donor.
- Monitor the quality and capacity for case management with integrated PSS support and responding to GBV disclosures by staff and facilitate to enhance of their capacities as required.
- Provide/Monitor regular supervision and support to case workers and case managers in assessing the needs of clients, developing action plans, implementing the plans, and ethical documentation of cases.
- Utilize creative approaches to learning for caseworkers to understand the process and procedures for case management, including demonstrations, coaching, and mentoring.
- Assist and encourage project staff to compile case studies related to psychosocial well-being, case management, and empowerment of the target audience.
- In collaboration with senior staff to be able to deliver appropriate and effective messages for awareness raising and harmful effects of GBV, and to inform, encourage, and increase access of GBV survivors to care.
- Will be responsible for enhancing psycho-social well-being among staff. Will refer to MHPSS Specialist of other organization if any MHPSS Disorder develops. (According to the professional boundary of a MHPSS Supervisor)
- Design and develop IEC material to support the implementation of MHPSS interventions.
- Assist in the supervision of the development and field testing of field manuals and guidance materials.
- Represent Mukti Cox’s Bazar in MHPSS coordination structures and with other relevant MHPSS actors working in the camps and host communities.
- Attend meetings, trainings, and special events related to GBV, MHPSS, and humanitarian responses. Provide the GBV team with updates as needed and share information gathered with the GBV team and Programme Coordinators.
- Prepare monthly work plans and reports as needed or requested.
- Safeguarding and PSEA: To meet the program’s objectives for safeguarding and PSEA implementation, make sure team members are protected from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation. serve as a major resource for help, direction, and knowledge on safeguarding for developing a safe workplace. To ensure that safeguarding standards are used in every course of action, team members should practice, advocate, and embrace safeguarding policy concerns.
