Responsibilities & Context
Responsibilities & Context:
- Conduct microbiological testing and analysis of clinical, environmental, and industrial samples.
- Isolate and identify microorganisms using a variety of laboratory techniques, including culturing, staining, and molecular methods.
- Perform antimicrobial susceptibility testing and report results to guide appropriate treatment options.
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results by following strict quality control and quality assurance protocols.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring all instruments are in proper working order.
- Document all laboratory procedures, observations, and findings accurately and maintain comprehensive records.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and researchers to provide microbiological insights that support patient care and public health.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in microbiology through continuous education and professional development.
- Adhere to all laboratory safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
