Experience:
- 3 years of practical experience in performing Vaginal Delivery.·
- Should have the capacity of managing critical situations related to delivery.
- Understanding and caring attitude.

- Emotional and mental strength.

Responsibilities & Context
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Emergency management during normal vaginal delivery, caesarean section, ANC and PNC cases, Delivery and delivery related patient.
- Patients counseling specially in gynaecological cases.
- Responsible for ward duty schedule during various gynaecological camps.
- Ensure use of sterile linen, gauze, cotton, and instruments during delivery.
- Ensure proper infection prevention practices including house keeping
Activities:
- Examining and monitoring pregnant women·
- Assessing care requirements and writing care plans·
- Undertaking antenatal care in hospitals, homes and GP practices.
- Carrying out screening tests.
- Conduct clean and safe Normal Delivery.
- Examining and monitoring pregnant women/patient.
- Identifying high-risk pregnancies and take appropriate action.
- Providing information, emotional support and reassurance to women and their partner.
- Taking patient samples and vitals (pulses, temperatures and blood pressures).
- Caring for and assisting women in labour.
- Performing episiotomies if needed, and delivering the newborn and placenta.
- Monitoring and administering medication, injections and intravenous infusions during labour.
- Monitoring the foetus during labour.
- Advising about and supporting parents in the daily care of their newborn babies.
- Midwife may work on a rota and be on call to provide care on a 24-hour basis.
- Helping parents to cope with miscarriage, termination, stillbirth and neonatal death.
- Prepare and present reports on cases, incidents, initiatives etc. during team meetings and department meetings in order to share experience(s) and learning with team members.
- Attend all training/clinical sessions.
- Regularly act as duty nurse whenever required at ward.
- Regularly take information form Gynae OPD for ANC and PNC.
- Helping at Operation Theater whenever required.
- Maintain stock of Labour room/Labour OT and generate monthly report.
- Regularly monitor stock and priorly notify the near expiry medicine information.
- Perform sterilization of the instrument related to Labour room.
- Maintain cleanliness and regularly deep clean of labour room and associated items.
- Prepare monthly report.
