Education

Additional Requirements

  • The applicants should have experience in in MEAL and Education in humanitarian response.
  • Proven experience: 2 years in in similar position preferably in MEAL in Education Program in humanitarian settings.
  • Strong understanding of MIS & MEAL in education .
  • Experience / sound knowledge/ training in mainstreaming Gender, PSEA, Safeguarding and Inclusive in the project concerned.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in data collection and reporting.
  • Fluency in English & Bengali languages.
  • Have excellent writing, reporting, and analytical skills.
  • Have excellent knowledge and skill in Office applications (Data analysis, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel etc,)
  • Have excellent typing skill both in Bengali and English .
  • Have ability to visit at field level frequently and as required from Program needs.
  • Have self-motivation, goal/result-orientation and team work.
  • Work experience in the Rohingya camp context in Bhasanchar is preferred.

Job Context

Reportable to: Program Manager , Support to FDMN in Bhasanchar in Education Sector.

Position Overview:

MIS and Project Officer (Gender, PSEA, Safeguarding and Inclusive) for the ‘’Support to FDMN in Bhasanchar in the Education Sectors” project will be responsible for designing and implementing a robust monitoring and evaluation system to track the progress, outcomes, and impacts of the Education project interventions. This role involves working closely with project teams, beneficiaries, and stakeholders to ensure accurate data collection, analysis, and reporting to support evidence-based decision-making. In addition to this s/he will be responsible for mainstreaming Gender, PSEA, Safeguarding and Inclusive in the project concerned.

Job Responsibilities

As MIS Officer’s Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a data management system for education programs in Bhasan Char.
  • Collaborate with project management to design a comprehensive framework that aligns with project objectives and indicators.
  • Develop data collection tools, surveys, and methodologies to monitor project activities, outputs, outcomes, and impacts.
  • Monitor all project activities, progress towards achieving the project output;
  • Provide inputs, information and statistics for quarterly, annual and other reports to Project Management Team;
  • Support in designing education monitoring frameworks to track student attendance, learning outcomes, and teacher performance.
  • Provide feedback to the Program Manager on project strategies and activities;
  • Suggest strategies to the Project Management for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of project by identifying bottlenecks in completing project activities and developing plans to minimize or eliminate such bottlenecks;
  • To carry out the regular data collection of the project and ensure quality of the data by random verification, validation, triangulation and cross checking;
  • Identify and address data discrepancies and anomalies in collaboration with project teams.
  • To record, manage and preserve monitoring data of the projects in a safe and accessible way;
  • To analyze and discuss findings with project team and donor’s representative(s) as a continuous process;
  • Provide technical support on monitoring and evidence-based recommendations to the project management team and donors representative(s);
  • Participate actively in project planning process and budgeting;
  • To establish, manage and strengthen Accountability to Beneficiaries which includes capacity building of related stakeholders;
  • Prepare case studies, need based papers, documents, good practices and draft monthly, quarterly , annual and event reports for PARC and GAC/BRAC;
  • Assist in preparing reports on training/meetings/workshops/field visits etc.
  • Identify lessons learned, good practices, and share these with the project and management team, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Mainstreaming Gender, PSEA, Safeguarding and Inclusive in the project concerned.

As Gender, PSEA, Safeguarding, and Inclusion:

  • Adhere to PARC’s PSEA, Safeguarding & other relevant policies, ensuring the safety and well-being for all project participants.
  • Assist in promoting a safe and secure environment for all participants and stakeholders of the project.
  • Report any safeguarding concerns promptly and follow the designated reporting procedures.
  • Work closely with project teams, partners, and stakeholders to integrate Gender, PSEA, Safeguarding, and Inclusion into project planning and implementation.
  • Provide timely updates to project management and donors on Gender, PSEA, Safeguarding, and Inclusion activities, progress, and results.
  • Additional responsibilities: Perform any other responsibility / special duty delegated by the project and PARC Management.
