Responsibilities & Context

Job Overview:

The MIS (Management Information Systems) Officer will be responsible for managing and maintaining sales-related information systems specifically for the food industry sector. This role involves collecting, processing, and analyzing data to provide actionable insights that support decision-making processes within the Sales Department. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of database management and data analysis, along with excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

Data Management:

  • Collect, organize, and maintain sales-related data.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of sales data.
  • Develop and manage databases, data collection systems, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality specific to sales operations in the food industry.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze sales data and generate reports to support business decisions within the Sales Department.
  • Provide regular and ad-hoc reports to management.
  • Interpret data and make recommendations based on findings.
  • Create dashboards and visualizations to present sales data insights.

System Maintenance:

  • Monitor and maintain the performance of information systems related to sales operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to sales data and information systems.
  • Coordinate with the Sales Department for system upgrades and maintenance as needed.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement improvements to sales data management processes within the food industry sector.
  • Work with the Sales team to understand their data needs and provide solutions.

Requirements

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Food Science, or a related field.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Experience with database management, data analysis, and reporting tools is an advantage.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Access) and basic database management software (e.g., SQL).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle large volumes of data and maintain attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of food industry sales processes and data flow.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
