Responding to this emergency, UNFPA Bangladesh has launched an emergency response project, under the United Nations Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) and Emergency Fund (EF), aimed at addressing the life-saving Protection and Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) needs of women, adolescents, and transgender people in the affected districts. The project, which will run from July 2024 to December 2024, will provide direct support to affected people, including pregnant women. The initiative seeks to respond to the critical needs of the most vulnerable people affected by the natural disaster, including child marriage, maternal mortality, and mental health.
