  • Proven experience as a Multi-Cuisine Chef in high-end restaurants, hotels, or catering services.
  • Formal culinary training or certification is preferred.
  • Ability to prepare a diverse range of cuisines with a focus on both authenticity and creativity.
  • Excellent knowledge of kitchen equipment and modern cooking techniques.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities & Context

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Multi-Cuisine Chef (Assistant Executive Chef) to join our dynamic team at FoodExpo Restaurant & Convention Center. The ideal candidate will have expertise in preparing a variety of international and local cuisines, ensuring high-quality food production for both the restaurant and large-scale events hosted in our convention center.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare a variety of international and local cuisines, including Asian, Continental, Middle Eastern, and Western dishes.
  • Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, presentation, and portion control.
  • Support menu development, seasonal offerings, and recipe standardisation.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations.
  • Food preparation and service for restaurant dining, banquets, weddings, conferences, and convention events.
  • Monitor inventory levels, assist in procurement, and minimise food wastage through proper stock management.
  • Maintain cleanliness, discipline, and organization throughout all kitchen sections.
  • Assist in controlling food costs and maintaining profitability targets.
  • Collaborate with restaurant management and event teams to fulfil customised culinary requirements.
  • Handle kitchen operations efficiently in the absence of the Executive Chef.
  • Carry out any additional tasks assigned by the line authority or honorable management authority.
