  • Able to speak & understand the Rohingya Chittagonian Language.

Responsibilities & Context

Community Development Centre (CODEC) invites application for the position of ‘‘Myanmar Language Lab Manager’ from the potential Bangladeshi nationals for implementing ‘‘Education for Rohingya Refugee and Host Community Children in Bangladesh’’ (ERRHCCB) Project funded by UNESCO.

The working location will be at Ukhiya & Teknaf in Cox’s Bazar.

  • Establish and maintain structures and instruments for planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Ensure that all planning and reporting documents are submitted on time with sufficient quality.
  • Ensure the project activities are implemented effectively and that necessary and informed course corrections are made to achieve the project’s outcomes.·
  • Participate in coordination meetings regularly.
  • Establish and maintain operational and administrative procedures to manage the MLL operation.
  • Manage program administration according to CODEC’s internal regulations and procedures.
  • Represent outside, specifically to partner organizations, government institutions, private sector, national and international development agencies, regarding all matters of the project and CODEC’s interests.
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with the other Project personnel by providing timely information on all relevant matters according to agreed procedures.·
  • Participate and represent the program-related meetings, seminars, committees, work groups, etc. which deal with the advancement of skills development in general and Bangladesh specifically.
  • Establish and maintain liaison with relevant committees, government bodies, private partners, and other stakeholders of the program.
  • Assure coherent team structure with staff from diverse background and skills set for effective implementation of the program activities.
  • Mentor and coach MLL staffs to build their capacities on various technical and management issues pertinent to the program.
  • Create a learning environment the program team and develop and implement a structured staff capacity development plan.
  • Establish and maintain operational and administrative procedures in line with CODEC manual to manage the program.
  • Assist Coordinator for budget, planning and implementation based on progress.
  • Ensure the resources are spent effectively, transparently and according to the approved budget.
  • Innovative development of the program by the development of new products that can be replicated within the region.
  • Capitalize the program lessons and produce knowledge products which capture learning.
  • Contribution to overall knowledge management of CODEC and actively participate in Skills Development Community of Practice within CODEC.
  • Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse – PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation.
  • Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any report able incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
  • S/he should abide by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC)’s six core principles on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policy.
