Education

SSC
HSC
Candidates with relevant technical training and practical experience in fire safety systems may also be considered.

Experience

At least 2 years
The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM), Group of Companies, Manufacturing (FMCG), Pharmaceutical/Medicine Companies

Responsibilities & Context

Inspect, operate, test, and maintain fire detection and protection systems on a regular basis.
Maintain and troubleshoot Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACP), smoke detectors, heat detectors, beam detectors, manual call points, sounders, strobes, modules, and related devices.
Monitor and maintain fire protection systems including fire pumps, hydrant systems, sprinkler systems, hose reels, fire extinguishers, landing valves, fire water tanks, and associated equipment.
Conduct routine inspection and functional testing of fire alarm and fire protection equipment.
Identify system faults, alarms, device failures, wiring problems, and communication issues and take appropriate corrective action.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to the approved maintenance schedule.
Check fire pump operation, including jockey pump, electric pump, and diesel pump, and report any abnormality.
Inspect sprinkler, hydrant, hose reel, valve, piping, and fire water supply systems for leakage, damage, blockage, or other defects.
Maintain proper records of inspection, testing, maintenance, breakdowns, repairs, and replacement of spare parts.
Attend emergency fire alarm activations and system breakdowns promptly.
Support fire drills, emergency response activities, and evacuation exercises.
Ensure fire safety systems remain accessible, operational, and free from obstruction.
Coordinate with contractors and service providers during installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and repair work.
Perform any other fire safety and maintenance-related duties assigned by management.
