Requirements
Education
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Nursing
- BSc in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing Science & Midwifery from any government-recognized nursing institute.
- Must have an active and valid registration from the Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council (BNMC).
- Any post-basic BSc in Nursing, MPH, or formal training in Nursing Administration/Hospital Management will be highly preferred.
Experience
- At least 12 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Hospital
Additional Requirements
- Age At least 40 years

- Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to act as a bridge between management, doctors, nursing staff, and patients.
- Basic computer literacy (MS Word, Excel) to prepare shift schedules, ledgers, and management reports.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and medical emergencies with a calm and composed demeanor.
Responsibilities & Context
- Nursing Leadership: Supervise, direct, and evaluate the performance of nursing staff (In-charges, Senior Staff Nurses, and Junior Nurses) across all wards, ICU, CCU, and emergency departments.
- Quality of Care: Ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centric clinical care and strictly enforce hospital standards, medical ethics, and safety protocols.
- Roster & Staffing: Efficiently manage daily duty rosters, shift allocations, and leave planning to ensure optimal nursing coverage at all times.
- Rounds: Conduct regular daily rounds to monitor patient conditions, verify nursing documentation, and ensure that doctors` clinical instructions are being executed perfectly.
- Infection Control: Oversee strict adherence to infection control guidelines, hygiene standards, and biomedical waste management protocols throughout the facility.
- Training & Development: Organize orientation for new nursing staff and conduct continuous on-the-job training (CME/CNE) to upgrade the team`s clinical skills.
- Management Reporting: Actively participate in Total Quality Management (TQM) initiatives, handle patient/attendant grievances on the floor, and provide regular performance and incident reports to hospital management.
- Inventory & Indent: Monitor the indenting, proper use, and safe storage of floor medications, emergency drugs, and medical equipment.
