Requirements

Education

Bachelor/ Masters in Nutrition, Food Science or any other relevant subject from any reputed university/institute

Experience

  • At least 1 year

Good knowledge to prepare diet plan for diabetic, Hypertensive, stroke, TB & Malaria patients

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Strong analytical and problem solving concepts.

Responsibilities & Context

This position will be responsible to work with the PHC Manager closely to ensure the smooth running of the project and provide proper nutritional services to beneficiaries.

Ensure to provide early year stimulation services for children.

Ensure to provide Counselling to mothers and caregivers of children under 5 years on nutritional practices and sick child care in the Facility.

Ensuring maternal nutrition and diet counselling to Pregnant and Lactating mothers and Old age people.

Coordinate Counselling of patients with chronic disease on dietary management and lifestyle modification.

Plan and conduct training programs in dietetics, nutrition, and institutional management and administration for Nutritionists.

Provide overall technical support for developing the adapted training materials, job aids, IEC materials and monitoring tools for Nutrition support.

Arrange and conduct training on Diet counselling and life style modification for Nutritionist and other Nutrition Staffs.

Supportive supervision of Field Facilitators and Community Health worker for smooth implementation.

Responsible for collection, compiling and preparing monthly progress report and also timely submit daily report and monthly performance report.

Contribute to develop guideline, schedule, action points for conducting group meetings and courtyard meetings.

Undertake any other duties and responsibilities assigned by Supervisors.

Communicate and coordinate with GoB health sector, UN and other NGOs for available nutrition services in emergency response area.

Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
