Responsibilities & Context

ACI Motors is looking for an young and energetic EHS professional with relevant experience in a factory environment.

  • Act as the site’s initial point of contact for environment, health and safety.
  • Manages and implements EHS programs and procedures and ensures that they are updated.
  • Leads the creation of annual EH&S targets and objectives for the site to measurably reduce exposure to the site’s most significant health and safety risks and environmental impacts.
  • Leads the deployment of employee-directed environmental, health and safety teams (Accident Investigation team, Ergonomics Committee, First Aid Team, etc.) and facilitates their engagement in ownership of the activities that enable a compliant, incident-free workplace while reducing the site’s environmental footprint.
  • Prepare a legal register for the site and ensure compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keep abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the plant or factory.
  • Review all legal requirements (e.g. BNBC, Factory act, factory rules, labor law, ECR etc.) and identity requirements.
  • Coordinates the identification of workplace hazards and assessment of risks, advises management on appropriate control measures to eliminate, minimize or control these hazards.
  • Arrange daily and monthly EHS Meetings.
  • Develop inspection checklist and lead inspection of equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions.
  • Participate in the investigation of incidents, near misses and property damage incidents.Ensure follow-up is done to minimize future exposure and proper records/documents are maintained.
  • Conduct routine safety observations to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, company environmental, health, and safety policies, procedures and practices.
  • Implement site emergency response plans (fire, earthquake, chemical, flood etc.).
  • Schedule health checkups (for noise, chemicals etc.) and have the record.
  • Manage and coordinate various EHS-related certification audits (ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001), buyer & lender audits and regulatory audits.
  • Identify effective communication tools including placing meeting minutes on the EHS board and applying those based on target audiences.
  • Review all PPEs selected and evaluate their suitability in terms of quality and fitness.
  • Schedule and perform an internal audit for monitoring EHS parameters.
  • Provide monthly EHS reports to the Factory Operation Manager/Corporate EHS Personnel and others as necessary.
