Responsibilities & Context

Ventura Leatherware Mfy. (BD) Ltd, a 100% export-oriented enterprise located in Uttara EPZ, Nilphamari, is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Officer – Incoming Material Quality Control (IQC). The position plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality, efficient use, and timely availability of incoming materials to support smooth production flow and alignment with customer standards.

Job Responsibilities:

• Inspect incoming materials (e.g., leather, fabric) for defects and standard compliance.

• Report defects with analysis and photos; escalate critical issues.

• Analyze cut data for marker efficiency and material yield.

• Monitor usage and minimize loss through optimized nesting.

• Coordinate with Purchasing/Planning for material flow and issue resolution.

• Follow up on supplier rejections, shortages, and compensations.

• Align material specs with Sales, QA, PD, and Cutting teams.

• Support swatch/mock-up approvals and clarify supplier instructions.

• Prepare regular reports on quality, defects, loss, and supplier performance.

• Help develop SOPs, improve inspection methods, and join audits/initiatives.

• Guide juniors on IQC practices and stay updated on specs and supplier standards.
