Responsibilities & Context

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the laboratory to ensure smooth and efficient processes.

Handle the inventory of laboratory supplies and equipment, including ordering, storage, and upkeep.

Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment that meets safety standards.

Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to guide lab activities and ensure consistency.
-
Lead and mentor laboratory technicians and assistants, providing training and support.
-
Delegate tasks and monitor project progress, offering guidance as necessary.
-
Conduct performance reviews and offer constructive feedback to staff members.
-
Plan and execute experiments or analyses according to project specifications.

Ensure the accuracy and reliability of results through meticulous methodology and thorough data analysis.

Prepare detailed reports and presentations to document and communicate findings.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Regularly review and update safety protocols and conduct safety inspections to maintain a secure working environment.

Manage the handling and disposal of hazardous materials in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Oversee the quality of laboratory tests and procedures to ensure they meet established standards.
