Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor/ master Degree, preferably in Statistics, Social Sciences or relevant discipline.

Additional Requirements

  • At least 3-5 years of working experience in the relevant field experience of working on Child protection projects could be appreciated.
  • Skill in assisting to data/ information collection, formulation, analysis and share to relevant stakeholders & organization.
  • Ability to provide training on data collection, analysis and reporting to ensure a standardized and systematic approach.
  • Excellent communication skill in both Bangla & English is required.
  • Adequate experience of quality of process documentation.
  • Computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
  • The M&E officer should have experience working on Child Protection Monitoring and Evaluation in a Refugee context.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience at the national or international and additional understanding of a crisis/conflict prevention and recovery approach.

Other Experience:

  • Good reporting and writing skills.
  • Previous work experience with NGO/INGO is considered as an advantage.
  • Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages.
  • Clear understanding of and commitment and basics of safeguarding, Gender and child rights.
  • Excellent verbal communication in local language and report writing skill.

Responsibilities & Context

BITA (Bangladesh Institute of Theatre Arts) a non-governmental organization, has been administering development initiatives focusing human rights, cultural upliftment and poverty alleviation since 1994.

The basis of development intervention in BITA is rights based approach. BITA has sequentially developed an empowerment process which starts its journey from building relationship with communities through communication, support them with raising of their awareness level, facilitating them in transforming their trust into internalization capacity to visualize self-development, make them confident to become actor from observer.

BITA has been implementing Joining Forces for Food Security and Child Protection in Emergencies (JF-FS & CPiE) project at Ukhiya and Teknaf upazila and Rohingya refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar district supported by Plan International Bangladesh, funded by the German Federal Foreign Office (GFFO). The expected outcome of the project is improved protection of girls, boy in vulnerable situations through access to life saving, quality, gender-sensitive, & inclusive child protection, Food Security, nutrition- sensitive interventions.

Project: Joining Forces for Food Security and Child Protection in Emergencies (JF-FS & CPiE)

Duration: Up to June 2026 (Subject to availability of fund and possibility of extension.)

Job Location: At office (Ukhiya)- in Cox’s Bazar District with extensive visits to Ukhiya, Teknaf and Rohingya camps.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Exhibits cultural, gender, religious, racial, national, and age sensitivity, adapting seamlessly to diverse contexts.
  • Implementing a monitoring system in the field, collect and ensure qualitative and quantitative data for MIS.
  • Attend parents meeting, Peer group session and CBCPC meeting and evaluate their capacity on relevant account and submit report to Project coordinator.
  • At least visit 02 days in a week for child protection facilities and submit visit report to the Project Coordinator.
  • Implement reporting system and documentation as per project needs.
  • Develop an overall monitoring and evaluation plan under the guidance of the M&E Specialist.
  • Develop/ operationalize tools and apps for data entry and preservation
  • Systematically data and information entry, analysis, dissemination and preservation
  • Prepare 5W report, quarterly and annual reports following the prescribed format and submit them to the relevant person.
  • Ensure quality data for project interventions through various approaches using both qualitative and quantitative process.
  • Basic program understanding of Child protection program.
  • He/ She has to experience in CPIMS and data management ability of case management.
  • Follow up cases with case management officer including proper documentation.
  • Perform any other duty as assigned by the supervisor.

Compensation & Other Benefits

  • Salary: BDT. 55,000/= only, all inclusive.
