Requirements
Education
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Animal Husbandry
Experience
- At least 1 year
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM), Poultry, Group of Companies
- Freshers are also encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities & Context
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the farm, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
- Maintain a safe, hygienic working environment in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
- Ensure proper implementation of bio-security management, brooding, vaccination, lighting, feed and water management, hatching egg management, and record keeping.
- Monitor and analyze production performance, maintain accurate data, and prepare necessary reports.
- Oversee proper ventilation, drinkers, feeders, lighting, and dead bird disposal in compliance with best practices.
- Track and evaluate egg production, quality, and bird weights to ensure optimal productivity.
- Provide expert advice on best farming practices, bio-security procedures, and operational improvements.
- Plan, allocate, and supervise farm staff activities; provide training, mentoring, and performance feedback.
- Identify and resolve operational challenges related to bird health and production.
- Any other duties to be assigned by the management from time to time.
