• Certification/diploma on port/vessel operations would be an added advantage.
• Knowledgeable in terminal/vessel/gate and cargo operations
• Basic Eqp knowledge
• Proficiency in import-export documentation
• Familiarity with TOS/N4

Responsibilities & Context

• Collaborate with SVD Manager(s) to develop and implement comprehensive discharge and loading plans.
• Coordinate with operations controller to obtain necessary documentation regarding bay allocations, crane assignments, and delivery plans for loading and unloading operations.
• Liaise with relevant personnel upon arrival at the vessel, yard, or delivery point. Conduct a comprehensive briefing for Ops staff outlining the approved loading/unloading/delivery plan.
• Ensure all communication device assigned for operation are well functioning and if any fault rectify resolve the problem before operation by pre-checking.
• Perform vessel and yard inspection and highlight issues to team members to avoid accident/incident.
• Proactively monitor the execution of assigned tasks of VOA-COA, YOA, TTO, RST etc. Maintain consistent communication with the Operations Controller to ensure seamless monitoring throughout the process.
• Identify and address operational bottlenecks (e.g. discrepancies, interruptions, or confusion) within capacity otherwise escalate to Operation Superintendent.
• Document and report any damage sustained by containers, vessels/crane, or equipment. This report should be communicated to internal management and, when necessary, to external stakeholders.
• Maintain close communication with vessel officers regarding any adjustments or modifications to the discharge or loading plan during execution.
• Provide close supervision to YOA and other team members throughout the delivery process including Scan, Laydown, Clearing, housekeeping, delivery, receiving and internal terminal tractor movement.
• Facilitate clear communication with customs officers to ensure a smooth and efficient handover.
