Requirements

Education

• Bachelor/Honors in any discipline

• Candidates are required to have B.Optom Degree from a recognized institution in Bangladesh or institute from outside of the country.

Experience

• At least 2 years

Additional Requirements

• At least 02-yeas experience in relevant field will be given preference.
• Possess sound knowledge on eye health related issues
• Able to communicate with rural people
• Have excellent computer skills (MS word, Excel,)
• Easily communicate with all patients.
• Good command over English and Bangla – both spoken and written
• Duty station

Al Basar International Foundation- a Non-Profit Organization- runs several reputed eye hospitals in Bangladesh including Al Noor Eye Hospital, Lalmatia, Dhaka; Noor Makkha Eye Hospital, Rayer Bazar, Dhaka; Makkah Eye Hospital, Uttara, Kakrail Dhaka, & Rajshahi , Tangail, Joypurhat , Meherpur and Rangpur. Several more eye hospitals will be established soon to expand eye care services to the underprivileged and remote area of Bangladesh.

Al Basar International Foundation has been rendering service to control blindness and combating the key causes of visual impairment in Bangladesh for about three decades through providing hospital based eye treatment, arranging free eye camps, educating local community members, developing high quality eye care workforce, and conducting population based eye care research , student eye health program etc.

Al Basar International Foundation is seeking qualified and motivated candidate for the positions of optometrist posting for Dhaka & outside Dhaka

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care
• Work with a multidisciplinary team, including doctors and other professional staff .
• Conduct routine eye examinations
• Perform tests on patients
• Participate in eye camp campaigns for screening cataract , refraction and other eye diseases
• Stay up to date with eye care diagnosis and treatment of eye disorders
• Develop or implement plans and procedures for providing pharmacological services
• Any other tasks as and when assigned by the Management.
