Education

• PhD (Doctor of Philosophy)

• Doctor of Philosophy (PHD) in Chemical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering. (Mandatory).

Experience

• 5 to 10 years

Additional Requirements

• 5 to 10 years of practical experience in petroleum refinery operations, either in Bangladesh or abroad, with a focus on managing petroleum or chemical plants.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of petrochemical processes and equipment.
• Familiarity with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and best practices.
• Excellent problem -solving and decision making skills.
• Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).

Responsibilities & Context

Operational Leadership

• Direct and manage all plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and supply chain coordination.
• Ensure compliance with environment, health and safety regulations.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.

Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and manage plant personnel, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Identify training needs and create development programs for staff growth.

Safety and Compliance

• Ensure that all operations meet company and regulatory safety standards.
• Implement best practices for plant safety and risk management.

Budgeting and Planning

• Prepare and manage plant budgets, production schedules, performance reports.
• Drive plant projects, expansions, and improvements.

Process Optimization and Innovation

• Oversee the evaluation and optimization of production processes.
• Stay updated with advancements in Petro chemical technologies and integrate new innovations where applicable.
