Responsibilities & Context
Job Summary:
Kazi Farms is seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Manager to oversee the establishment and operation of a new starch plant. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, coupled with significant experience in plant management, particularly in the starch industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design the layout and workflow of the plant and work with construction and supply chain technical team to finalize plant specifications.
- Ensure and manage overall plant operation to deliver the optimum output and cost efficiency.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to align business direction regarding plant operations.
- Manage and coordinate production schedules to meet the demands of the business.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Ensure that the plant equipment is maintained and operating efficiently.
- Monitor and analyze production metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement.
- Lead and coach a team of engineers, technicians, and production staff.
- Strengthen relationships with local communities and government officials to ensure sustainable business streams
- Develop a comprehensive manpower plan for the plant.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
