Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in technology project management or technology delivery roles.
  • Proven experience managing banking technology projects.
  • Experience managing both vendor-driven and in-house development projects.

Responsibilities & Context

Project Planning & Technology Delivery:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of technology projects covering design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, resource allocation, and delivery milestones.
  • Coordinate delivery across multiple development streams, including in-house teams and external vendors.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business priorities.

Vendor Development & Management:

  • Manage relationships with technology vendors and implementation partners.
  • Coordinate development activities with vendors to ensure solutions meet functional and technical requirements.
  • Monitor vendor deliverables, timelines, and quality of work.
  • Ensure vendor solutions integrate properly with existing bank systems and platforms.
  • Facilitate issue resolution and performance reviews with vendors.

In-House Development Coordination:

  • Work closely with internal development, QA, DevOps, and architecture teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Track development progress, manage backlogs, and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Ensure adherence to internal development standards, security policies, and architecture guidelines.
  • Support release planning and deployment coordination.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as the primary liaison between technology teams, business stakeholders, vendors and senior management.
  • Facilitate requirement discussions, solution reviews, and progress updates.
  • Ensure alignment between business expectations and technology delivery.
  • Provide regular project status reports and escalate critical risks or issues when required.

Product Coordination:

  • Work closely with product managers and business teams to translate product requirements into technical deliverables.
  • Support prioritization of features, enhancements, and development backlog.
  • Ensure product roadmaps are aligned with technology capabilities and project timelines.

Banking Solutions Delivery:

  • Manage technology initiatives related to key banking systems such as:
  • Core Banking solution implementation
  • Loan and credit processing solutions
  • Account opening and customer onboarding systems
  • Corporate and retail internet banking platforms
  • Back-office and operational banking applications like

Payment platforms

Remittance systems

Digital channel integration

Robotics and automation

Open Banking APIs

  • Implementation of enterprise-level solutions such as Core Banking, Card Management Systems, CRM, Call Center, Data Warehouse, Loan Management System, Document Management System, and Lead Management System.
  • Lead infrastructure modernization initiative like DC-DR, Network upgradation, Virtualization, migration.
  • Support implementation of new features, enhancements, and regulatory updates.

Risk, Quality & Governance:

  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with technology governance, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support testing, quality assurance, and release management processes.
  • Maintain project documentation including project plans, risk registers, and status reports.
