- Technical Requirements
- AC/DC Machinery: Clear theoretical knowledge of AC/DC machinery, including induction motors, transformers (design and behavior from 50 Hz to 1 MHz), and the working principles of DC motors, stepper motors, and BLDC motors.
- Semiconductors: Deep understanding of switching mechanisms for MOSFETs, IGBTs, and synchronous diodes (isolated and non-isolated) across varying frequencies and voltages.
- Converter Topologies: Hands-on experience with isolated (flyback, forward, push-pull) and non-isolated (buck, boost) AC-DC and DC-DC converter topologies.
- PCB Layout: Proven experience in high-power density (2 kW to 8 kW), high-voltage (up to 1 kV DC), high current (up to 100 amp), and wide-frequency (50 Hz to 1 MHz) PCB design, including creepage, thermal management, component parasitic behaviors at high frequencies (up to 1 MHz), and EMI mitigation.
- Analog & Simulation: Proficiency in Op-Amp-based analog circuit design, circuit simulation (LTSpice, Proteus, Altium etc), and MATLAB or Octave for mathematical analysis.
- Firmware Engineering: Strong proficiency in Embedded C for real-time systems, with a strict practice of developing drivers directly from component datasheets and reference manuals.
- Microcontrollers: Deep hardware-level experience programming microcontrollers (STM32, ESP32, AVR, Arduino) to interface with high-power stages safely.
- Peripherals: Expert operational and programming knowledge of internal MCU peripherals (high-speed ADCs, advanced Timers for PWM, UART, SPI, Interrupts, DMA) and network communication topologies used in AC/DC drive systems (e.g., Modbus RTU/TCP, CAN bus/CANopen, RS-485, Profibus).
- Safety and compliance: Knowledge on international safety standards (e.g. IEC, UL etc).
- Testing Equipment: Ability to use oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, differential probes etc are required.

Responsibilities & Context
THiNK Global Limited is seeking a highly motivated Power Electronics & Embedded Systems Engineer to join its Engineering & R&D team. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, simulating, developing, and programming custom electronic circuits and embedded systems for various AC/DC machinery, industrial instruments, and innovative technology products. This role requires hands-on involvement throughout the entire hardware and firmware development lifecycle, from mathematical modeling and PCB design to firmware development and system integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop power electronic systems and embedded control solutions.
- Develop, test, and optimize hardware and firmware for industrial and commercial applications.
- Perform circuit simulation, PCB design, prototyping, debugging, and validation.
- Develop embedded firmware in C for real-time control applications.
- Integrate microcontrollers with high-power stages and communication networks.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and design records.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout product development.
