Responsibilities & Context

BRAC Health Programme has been implementing the TB Control Project for over three decades in collaboration with the National Tuberculosis Control Programme (NTP). BRAC works in a people-centered approach across rural and urban areas of the country with the aim to ensure prevention, early diagnosis, and treatment adherence of tuberculosis through community engagement.

With the support of USAID, BRAC is going to implement TB diagnostic network strengthening (TBDNS) activities focusing on enhancing the quality, accessibility, and equity of TB diagnosis and treatment services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain effective coordination, communication, and liaison to strengthen referral linkage with private sectors including private practitioners, private diagnostic centers, hospitals, clinics, etc.
  • Orientation of private diagnostic stakeholders regarding new TB diagnostic and services by organizing different events/ meetings/ workshops etc.
  • Ensure engagement of community stakeholders for strengthening Public Private Mix (PPM) network.
  • Conduct regular supervision and monitoring of Public Private Mix (PPM) and laboratory-related interventions in the implementing areas, identify challenges to support necessary decision-making.
  • Strengthen mechanisms for sample transportation to ensure specimen quality.
  • Support to implement activities in the community for patient pathway analysis and equity gap analysis.
  • Prepare action plan and intensive field visit according to plan to ensure the quality of project activities, including mitigative measures to address climate change impact on health care services.
  • Prepare necessary reports and documents based on guidelines and assist in developing SOP/ manuals/ proposals etc. for the project.
  • Introduce and assist in mentoring TB related digital tools to the private sectors and community level health workers
  • Practice and promote BRAC Gender Policy. Support implementation of gender equality and women empowerment at all levels.

    SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organization and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
